I know some people think I’m crazy and still think “dated” or “old school” when they think wallpaper, but wallpaper really has come a long way in the last 20 years and I’m obsessed! Be it in the dining room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom or living room, wallpaper is a great way to transform any room in your house and really makes a statement. There are so many chic, bold patterns, gorgeous colors, and styles to choose from, so there really is a something for everyone.
Loving wallpaper, but not quite sure you want to plaster an entire room with it? The good news is, you can still incorporate wallpaper into your home without doing every single wall. Try choosing only one side of the room to wallpaper to create an accent wall or get creative and use it to cover a piece of furniture in need of an update. Another option is to take your wallpaper and frame it to create a cool, focal piece of art, which is exactly what we are doing in our dining room. Originally, I planned on doing our entire dining room in wallpaper, but when I realized putting wallpaper on textured, plaster walls might be a bigger challenge than I had anticipated I decided to go another route and frame my wallpaper instead. It’s still a work-in-progress, but I am excited to say, I will be sharing our dining room reveal and our wallpaper project with you here in the next few weeks!
Still not sure you would ever consider using wallpaper in your home? Take a look at some of these beautifully wallpapered rooms and see first hand just how breathtaking wallpaper can be.
